The Dreaming Child’s Pre-school caters to 15 months to 6 years, provides for a rich and safe learning environment for emotional, social and physical development. Personal attention is at the core of what we do, maintaining an envious teacher student ratio of 1:6. Focus is given to each child to form attitudes, establish values, develop strong social bonds and find they are persons of worth. We believe in providing a strong foundation to children for lifelong learning and abilities to ensure future success. Dreaming Child does not replace the home – it complements it with the intent to provide a stimulating, creative, positive, and secure learning environment in order to develop the child’s overall skills and self-concept.
The Role of the Teacher
At the Dreaming Child Pre-School the teachers collaborate with children as decision makers to create appropriate learning opportunities. The teacher constantly listens to and observes children in the classroom to discover what interests them. They use this knowledge to plan the curriculum and prepare the teaching tools and environment, while at the same time pursuing developmental improvement.
