Beautiful tales from across the world will fan your child’s fascination for stories and open up a world of learning opportunities towards exploring relevant childhood themes, building values and unleashing creativity.
This immersive workshop is designed for children to experience an integrated curriculum, complete with stories, music, artwork, theatre exercises and language games which will, in time, help them appreciate the wealth of books and discover the power of reading.
Extensions will include:
READ AND TELL
Read stories and discuss the relevant themes to develop literacy skills, point of view and self-expression.
WATCH AND ACT
Gain exposure to a wide variety of storytelling styles by watching teachers creatively use props, costumes, music, mime and puppets to bring each story to life. Lose inhibitions by mimicking teachers by enacting the stories themselves.
THINK AND CREATE
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Projects based on story elements allows children to observe, experiment, design, create, use tools and understand patterns and shapes.
SING AND DANCE
Discover the power of expression through songs and dance around the theme of the stories.
SHOWCASE
Program will culminate in a little theatre show, where our star storytellers will enact their favourite story for you.
